He shuddered. The fluctuation in Rhys's volume scared him a bit, fearful that the man might snap at any second and--god help Cyrus--bite it off out of sheer annoyance. He nodded slowly, voice getting caught within his throat.

"I-I'm tryin'..." he whispered. "B-But...I-I can't focus...a-ah..."

His voice trailed off into a moan, and he tried so desperately to not let those eyes shut again. He had to watch. Had to make a mental note. Had to see how Rhys was going to please him.
